Road Ahead Driving Academy
Effective Date: 04/17/2025
This Agreement is entered into by and between Road Ahead Driving Academy ("Driving School") and the undersigned student ("Student") or legal guardian if under 18 years old ("Parent/Guardian").
Services Provided
Road Ahead Driving Academy agrees to provide behind-the-wheel instruction and/or classroom instruction based on the selected package.
Payment & Cancellation Policy
Please see the Terms and Cancellation Policy for full policy.
- All payments are due in full before lessons begin unless a payment plan has been arranged.
- Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 48 hours in advance to avoid late cancellation/no-show fee as detailed in the Terms and Cancellation Policy
- No refunds.
- Packages expire 1 year after purchase unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Code of Conduct
- Students must follow all instructions and act respectfully at all times.
- Inappropriate, aggressive, or unsafe behavior may result in removal from the program without refund.
Parental Responsibility (For Minors)
Parents/guardians agree to:
- Ensure students are prepared, punctual, and behave responsibly.
- Review and understand the content of this agreement.
Student Requirements
- Students must hold a valid learner's permit or license and carry it during ALL lessons
- Students must wear appropriate footwear (no flip-flops or heels).
- Students must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol during lessons.
Assumption of Risk
Driving is inherently dangerous. By participating in driving lessons, the Student and Parent/Guardian understand and voluntarily assume all risks, including but not limited to:
- Motor vehicle accidents
- Injuries to self or others
- Damage to vehicles or property
Release of Liability
The Student (and Parent/Guardian, if applicable) agrees to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Road Ahead Driving Academy, its employees, and instructors from any and all claims, demands, or liability for:
- Personal injury
- Property damage
- Vehicle accidents
- Emotional distress
- Any result of instruction or driving activities, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct
Vehicle Use
- Instruction may occur in either the School's vehicle or the Student's vehicle.
- The Student's vehicle must be roadworthy, insured, and registered if used.
Instructor Conduct
We screen all instructors and strive for professionalism. If a student experiences misconduct or discomfort, please report it immediately. All lessons may be terminated if necessary for safety.
Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California.
Agreement & Acknowledgment
By checking the box at checkout, I acknowledge that I am either the parent or legal guardian of the student, or I am the student and I am 18 years of age or older. I confirm that I am legally authorized to enter into this agreement and that I have read, understood, and agree to the terms and waiver.
